Week 1 of the 52 cards challenge is make a card featuring something new - either use new stash or tools, or a card for a new baby or home etc.
I went with making some new baby cards -
I have no idea what any of the papers are as they are all from my scraps box. The stamp is Penny Black and the sentiments are Personal Impressions. Punches used are SU scalloped border and an EK Success Star border punch. I'm not sure what brand the little butterfly punch is as I bought it second hand but it might be Woodware.
Tomorrow I will share the Christmas cards I made for this challenge.

Have a Sweet Christmas
You may have noticed if you are a regular reader of my blog that I have a bit of a thing about Penny Black stamps, but before my love affair with all things Penny Black I was rather fond of the Magnolia Tilda images. Sadly these cuties rarely see the light of day now but The Ribbon Girl blog have a new monthly challenge to use Magnolias, which will see me hopefully dust off these stamps and get using them again.
This month's challenge is to use ribbons or lace on your card. I combined this challenge with the 52 week card challenge which was a colour choice challenge using this picture for inspiration.
This is my Christmas card for week 3.
I think this is my favourite Tilda stamp - as she can be used for Christmas or other occasions. The sentiment is Penny Black and the papers are from Craft Creations. I coloured the image using Promarkers and glittered her wings using Icicle Stickles.

With love on your special day
It feels good to say that at long last I have done some crafting in 2013!!
A pile of cards for the 52 cards challenge which includes Christmas cards as Nat this year is running a Christmas challenge alongside the usual one and a load of layouts for Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party - Prompt 3.
First up to share with you is week 3 of the 52 card challenge, the prompt for this week was to use this picture for colour inspiration for the card.
I made this anniversary card using the two pinks and fresh green
I am also entering this card in this month's Penny Black and More @Allsorts challenge which is Love is in the Air.
The stamp is from Penny Black T for Transparent set 'Touch of Love', the sentiments are by HobbyArt and Stamps Away. I haven't a clue what collection the papers are from, they were from the last scraps of a Sarah's Cards kit and none of the leftovers had their strips left on them. I punched the flowers with EK Success retro flower punches and the leaves are a Martha Stewart punch. The photo corners are EK Success and the scalloped border is Stampin' Up.

Happy 21st
I used the Sketchy Scrappers November sketch for this final layout of 2012 for my niece's album.
Using Crate Paper 'Random' and a bit of Basic Grey 'Junebug', I made this layout with a photo of her with my parents on her 21st birthday which she spent on a cruise to the Canaries. On her birthday all the waiters sang Happy Birthday to her and she was given a lovely birthday cake.
I have just started getting back in the swing of crafting again so hopefully I will soon have some new stuff to show here. I have started doing Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party again after only managing the first two classes last year, so fingers crossed I will have better sticking power this time, I've almost finished class 3 and I am hoping this weekend to catch up with the 52 card challenge - I am 4 weeks behind at the moment.

Put on your Gladrags
I have discovered some layouts that I made in December and never got round to blogging them, so there is no need to panic just yet that I haven't got anything new to show on the blog LOL!!
This was a layout for my niece/god-daughter's album - I gave her an album for her 18th birthday and every Christmas I give her some new layouts to add to it - in fact we are now on album no 2.
I used this sketch from My Creative Sketches but didn't get it finished in time to submit it for the October challenge.
I used Basic Grey Junebug and the photograph is from my niece's first cruise that she did with my parents.
The swirls are a Sizzlet border die and the die cut butterflies are Cheery Lynn dies. The scalloped circles are a Martha Stewart medallion punch.

Back to blogging!!!
Apologies for lack of posts at the moment - on the last two days of our cruise I went down with the horrible cold/flu'y type bug that swept through the ship and have been ill ever since. I don't think a cold has ever laid me so low before and since getting home Mr P and and my Dad have succumbed to it too. I haven't felt like doing any crafting since getting home - heck I only did my unpacking yesterday - a record 11 days after getting home.
I'm hoping this weekend that I might feel like doing some crafting. But in the meantime I will share some more Christmas cards that I haven't put here yet
To speed up my Christmas card making last year I used digi images for some of them and also some Penny Black stickers. Here are some cards using the Penny Black stickers -
I backed the stickers onto cardstock so that they could be raised up on foam pads. I also added a load of Stickles to the stickers to give them lots of sparkle. The background papers are all Craft Creations except the red which is DCWV.
Hoping to be back soon with some photographs from our cruise - I did some craft classes whilst onboard so when I get a chance I will photograph the stuff that I made. And with any luck I will get crafting this weekend and get back in the swing of blogging again!!!

10 on the 10th
Time to join in with Shimelle's 10 on the 10th and a good way to kick off the new year is to look at 10 things that I have to look forward to in 2013.
A weekend away in Hereford with some of the mad Twilight Addicts from UKS
Seeing Miss Saigon in Brighton - I managed to see this in the West End before it finished it's run there and have been waiting a long time to see it again. I will need plenty of tissues - I wept buckets the last time I saw it.
Marillion convention in Port Zelande in March - three fabulous nights with my most favourite band ever, plus time spent with some of my wonderful Facebook friends. Also we hope to stay on afterwards for a short holiday catching up with friends in Nijmegen.
Cardinal Colours scrapbooking weekend in Eastbourne- details here
Marillion convention part 2 - this time in the UK at Wolverhampton in April - another 3 most wonderful nights of music and more time spent with other great fans
Pendragon in May at Leamington Assembly - my next favourite band after Marillion
Mr P's 50th birthday in June - I'm planning a big family meal out and hopefully some other surprises too.
A week at Champneys in August with some of my bestest friends and this time my Mum gets to join us too - we usually do a four night stay and that never feels enough so we are doing 6 nights this time for some extra pampering.
My parent's Golden Wedding Anniversary in September - they only want very low key family celebrations but have suggested that we go to the Channel Islands for a holiday afterwards. I have never been to Guernsey or any of the smaller islands so we will base ourselves on Guernsey and hopefully get to Sark, Herm and Alderney.
Christmas at home this year!! As much as I enjoyed being away on our cruise and it was lovely to be released from all the baking duties, the cooking and the cleaning, I did miss seeing family over that period and all my home comforts!!
So a lot of lovely things to look forward to in 2013!!

Family Reunion
In April of last year we took my parents over to The Netherlands to meet up with our family friends The Jansens. They had last been there over 30 years ago so it was a very exciting and emotional weekend. We spent the Saturday with many members of the family and before going out for a lovely meal, there was time for a group photograph.
I used Sarah's Cards April kit - Lily Bee 'Buttercup', Martha Stewart Medallion and Butterfly punch. The title was done using MLS alpha stickers and Thickers coloured with Promarkers.
