Yesterday I got to play with a new Stampin' Up set - Gorgeous Grunge. I don't really do messy crafting so these stamps are ideal for me as I can be 'messy' without getting messy LOL!!
For the first two cards I paired them with a lovely butterfly stamp by Kaisercraft.
I added a sprinkle of Stardust Stickles to the butterflies and the sentiment is by Personal Impressions.
For the next two I used a Penny Black cling sentiment from the Life Messages set and some punched butterflies.
I think I will be using this stamp set an awful lot.

Bright and Sunny
This month's challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Bright and Sunny.
I am currently making lots of cards for the two fundraisers that are fast approaching and plugging any gaps in my for sale box. I don't have many get well cards so made this cheery and bright card.
The paper is a magazine freebie and the image is Penny Black. The sentiment is by Personal Impressions. The die cut corners are an Ellison Thinlet and the flowers were made with SU and Woodware punches, the leaves are also a Woodware punch.
The image was coloured with Promarkers but as it has been in my bag of coloured images for some time now I have no record of colours used but pretty sure that the body of the hedgehog used Almond, Ice Grey 1 and 2 and Sunkissed Pink for the cheeks. I used Stickles for the bee wings and flower centres for a bit of extra sparkle.

Perfect Moments
I wasn't able to get to the Cardinal Colours long weekend crop last September but I was able to purchase one of the class kits to do at home.
I chose this lovely class by Linda and finally last month got round to doing my version of it.
The colours were just perfect for this photograph of Richard and I taken on our Icelandic cruise in 2011. The title was cut using Sizzlet die 'Naturally Serif'.
Thank you Linda for a lovely class xx

Double Dogs
Last month was very busy with birthdays, here are a couple of cards that I made.
This card uses a sweet digi image from DigiStamp Boutique and was for a friend's 50th birthday. I used some freebie magazine papers, scalloped circle nestabilities and a SU scalloped border punch. The sentiment is Hero Arts and the glitter 50 is American Crafts Thickers.
I coloured the image with promarkers.
This card was for my nephew's birthday and also features a cute dog, this time a Penny Black stamp.
The paper is Stampin' Up and the star border punch is EK Success.

Butterflies and Rainy Day Bears
Week 24 of the 52 card challenge was to make a card for a younger person.
I used a sweet Magnolia stamp that I haven't used for a long time.
The papers are magazine freebies and the sentiment is LOTV.
I also made this card with a new to me Penny Black stamp for a friend's daughter.

Last Day photos - July Sketchy Scrappers
This was the lovely sketch that Gemma set us in our Sketchy Scrappers group for July -
I wanted to use two photographs for the layout, so used the title space to add a second smaller photograph.
The papers used are from a Sarah's Cards kit - Fancy Pants 'Be You'. I sprayed the doily with a pink shimmer mist. The butterflies are Cheery Lynn dies and SU embosslit. The photographs were from my trip to Champney Springs last year. I finished the layout with a sprinkling of sequins.

Colourful card challenge
Week 26 of the 52 cards challenge was a colour challenge - this picture was the inspiration.
I picked out the peach and blue to make two birthday cards with a lovely Stamps Away butterfly and flower stamp.
I stamped the butterfly twice, cut it out and raised it up with pinflair gel for some dimension.
I embossed the circle of cardstock behind the stamped image with one of my favourite embossing folders Craft Concepts 'Garden Swirl'. The papers are Hot Off the Press and the sentiment stamps are Kaisercraft and Hero Arts.
For the Christmas cards for this challenge I was inspired by the soft reds and green to make these two cards -
The stamp is from QVC and one of the very first Christmas stamps I ever bought. The sentiment stamps are Kaisercraft and Hot Off the Press. The die cut frames are Spellbinder dies and the paper is by Craft Creations.

July - My Month in Numbers
It is that time of the month, where I join in with Julie Kirk's Month in Numbers and share some of my numbers from last month.
The most important number of all is how many days till I get my next Marillion fix and it is 92 days.
A new feature of My Month in Numbers is to have a communal count by all the participants, these are the subjects we could choose from for July.
I chose to count what I carry in my handbag - my handbag is always a bit of a joke in our family, despite my back and shoulder problems I don't do small bags. I cannot travel anywhere light, I am the sort of person that has to take everything just in case.
So here is my bag filled to the brim with stuff
And a closer look at the contents -
And the contents of my make up bag -
My bag contains 28 items including 3 purses, a calculator, perfume, tissues x 2, throat sweets, mints, diary, notebook, 5 pens, hairbrush, fan, phone, sunglasses, peppermint teabags, blue badge, hand cream and make up bag. And my make up bag contains 15 items including 3 lipsticks, 2 lipbalms, pressed powder, cuticle oil, 3 types of painkillers and other meds. So a grand total of 43 items!!!!! Of course if I am out for the day I would also have house keys, Mr P's wallet and Mr P's car keys in my bag too!!
My crafty numbers for July are 16 blog posts, 4 layouts, 1 mini book, 8 Christmas cards, 6 other cards and 9 memory wire bracelets.
July was a very quiet month with no outings or weekends away, a chance to recharge my batteries for what is shaping up to be a very busy autumn.
If you would like to join in with My Month in Numbers - you can find all the details here on Julie's blog
