Carry on Nursing

I dug out some oldies for last week's weekly challenge on UKS.  I don't very often look at old photographs from my nursing days.  It is something that feels like a lifetime ago and often brings back some painful memories.  But it would be crazy to leave that 13 year period out of my albums as it was a big chunk of my life back then.

The layout had to be on the theme of caring so it seemed appropriate to use these photographs, you also had to pick two elements from old, new, borrowed and blue - I went for blue and 'borrowed' the idea for the layout from sketch 191 on Pencil lines.  You also had to use ink or paint on your layout - I stamped in white ink using a swirl stamp over the punched flowers and the circle cardstock frame - it looks really pretty and I might just do that again sometime.  You also had to include journalling on your layout and that was really easy as I journal on virtually all of my layouts.  The paper and cardstock came from Sarah's Cards December kit - the patterned paper is My Minds Eye 'Colourful Christmas'.

  1. Love the aqua colours and the circle :-)

  2. love the colours. strangly enough I was just scraftlifting the same sketch. lol

  3. A really lovely LO Karen - I love the colours and the little ribbons tied around the circle, its all gorgeous :)

  5. Gorgeous lo Karen and you look fab in a uniform too;-)

  6. I think it is great to scrap that time before now - as you say, it is a long time in your life! I also love your father's day card - that image is hilarious! It's so fantastic that your father is in great health - long may he enjoy it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a comment, I do read all of them and they are really appreciated.

Karen xx
