Wedding album

As I haven't had time to craft much recently I have very little new stuff to show to you so thought I would share one of my themed albums.  I am currently taking my official wedding album to bits and using all my wedding photos to create my own album.  I am remembering to scan all the photographs first before using them so that I have a safe copy of everything.

Here are some of the layouts in the album so far

This was a class page taught by the lovely Anita.  The bottom panel and the large part of the title is cut from a sheet of serendipity card that we created.  I also played around with Picassa for the first time and converted my photographs to black and white and in the main photo I left my bouquet in colour.  I wouldn't be without Picassa now as I love playing around with all the effects.

This is a fave of mine, I did it last year for Shimelle's Scrap Like You Mean It challenge on UKS.  That week the challenge was to use fabric on your layout - something I rarely ever do.  It was the ideal time to use some of the leftover pink and white silk from my wedding dress to make flowers to decorate my page.  This page also has great meaning to me as the beautiful mother of pearl buttons in the flower centres came from my dear gran's button tin.  After gran died I asked if I could have her huge tin of buttons and I now enjoying adding them into my layouts.  The background has been stamped using Fancy Pants stamps and the butterfly journalling block is from the same set.

  7. Isn't using fabric fun! You've done it in such a delicate way too. Gorgeous pages. I love the vintage, eclectic nature of old button tins too - troves of treasure, imo.
