Farewell Formal Evening

Challenge 4 for the ATDML cybercrop was Glen Campbell: Rhinestone Cowboy, use gems, bling, rhinestones on your layout.

On our last formal night on our 2014 cruise we had a group photo taken with our lovely dining companions.  I used Webster's Pages Make a Wish 'Live it Up' for the background paper.

I didn't have any crystal swirls in the right colour for the layout so I scanned and printed a couple of swirls and used those as a pricking template for the placement of the gemstones - I used gems from Majorcrafts - I was expecting this to be a quick and easy layout but it took over three hours in the end to glue all the gems in place!!

  1. Wow, lovely page. My sis-in-law and I were just discussing how great those gem swirls are, but I doubt either of us would take the time to do our own. Your time spent has certainly paid off, they look perfect.

  2. You all look very glamorous. I love the idea of making a pricking template..that's very clever and very effective

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a comment, I do read all of them and they are really appreciated.
