The challenge this month is F is for Fabric Flowers and as always there is a lovely sketch to use as well.
I did another layout for my wedding album as I wanted to use some of the dupion silk leftover from my wedding dress for the flowers.
The papers used are a mixture of American Crafts, butterfly embossed Bazill and Papermania. The title was cut on the Bigkick using Sizzlet alpha' 'Naturally Serif'.
A close up of the flowers - I made these by twisting strips of the silk around on itself and kept tucking in the raw edges, I had to put little hand stitches in the back as I did the winding to hold them together.
The journalling block is a Stamps Away stamp and was stamped onto papermania card. As we walked out of the church Richard whispered to me 'Let's jump in the car and go'. It was a very tempting offer as I had had back surgery four weeks before the wedding and was struggling with all the standing up - we still had all the wedding photographs to do so at that stage a nice sit down in the car was just what I would have liked.
There is still time to take part as the deadline is midnight 5th December and there is a lovely prize on offer from Jill at Cardinal Colours.
I've been asked about a template for my previous blog post - give me a couple of days and I will get something drawn up and post it on the blog for you.
