Greenland and Iceland Adventure - Crafting at Sea

Usually whilst on a long cruise with a lot of at sea days they will have painting classes, so Mum and I duly packed our brushes and watercolours in anticipation of this.  But this time they had a craft tutor onboard so we signed up for the classes even though Mum isn't really a crafter apart from dabbling in a bit of painting.

The classes were quite a hoot and I had to let go of my perfectionism as we were working with very basic equipment like wonky rulers, blunt scissors and one gluestick between four.  If only I had known I would have taken my trimmer, my nice sharp scissors and some decent adhesive.

Still we had a laugh each afternoon as the other ladies joining in were really nice - we made a birthday reminder display book but I have brought mine home to finish as I wasn't happy with the job that I was doing with the equipment supplied.  I ended up helping the other ladies on my table to finish their books so that they could take a completed project home with them.

I will share mine once it is finished.

  1. Aww, how nice of you to help all the others! I know what it feels like to use bog standard materials-- I was at my dad's house and had to do some of my fine cutting with a Stanley knife!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a comment, I do read all of them and they are really appreciated.
