September - My Month in Numbers - Blogtoberfest #4

Once again it is time to do a round up of the previous month's goings on and tell the story in number form.  If you don't understand what I am on about then take a look at Julie Kirk's Month in Numbers

As always the most important number to declare is how many days are left till I go to the Marillion convention in the Netherlands next year - we are now down to 154 days!!!!  And on the subject of Marillion we did a 464 miles round trip to Cardiff to see them on the first night of their UK tour.  A bit bonkers maybe but Mr P was disappearing later that week on a rail trip so it was see them in Cardiff or not at all.  I also won 1 free ticket to take a friend so took my friend Sy who has been bored to death enjoyed listening to Marillion whenever she comes here for a craft day.  She really enjoyed the gig and we had a fun road trip!!  (We did stop for 1 night in Cardiff after the gig - that journey really would have been too much to do in one day)

(Thank you to Stefan Schulz for letting me use his photographs)

I spent 12 days at home without Mr P as he did a round trip of 3,655 km by train and road as he travelled around Austria and Italy with his Dad.  On his return I had 4 loads of washing to do and it took him 3 hours to get it all ironed for me.

I got 2 lovely new scarves this month (I'm a bit of a scarf person as I have problems with my cervical spine and if I get stuck in the slightest draught my neck usually seizes up and I have the most awful headaches until the chiropractor can release it - so even in the summer it is not unusual to see me wearing a scarf).  Scarf no 1 came from a giveaway that I won on Julie's blog.  It is beautiful and so vibrant, I also have a bit of a thing for pink also - it is just perfect for my Christmas cruise to the Canaries.

And then spookily Mr P came home from his holibobs also clutching a scarf and guess what!!  Scarf no 2 was also pink (he was going to get me chocolates but as it was so hot he decided against that) - now what could make a pink scarf absolutely divine - well the addition of lots of sparkles - he knows that I have a thing about anything glittery or sparkly!!  I absolutely love it and I guess this will be coming on the cruise too!!!

On the creative front I have made 1 lemon overload cake (recipe to follow at some point this month), 4 layouts, 26 cards, 1 Christmas card, 9 post it note pads, 3 bracelets and 5 pairs of earrings.  I also stitched up and stuffed 10 knitted soft toys that my Mum had knitted for our October fundraiser - she hates this job and is under the impression that I love it LOL!!!!  Blogging slipped a bit last month only 12 posts but I'm hoping to change all of that in October with a daily post by taking part in Blogtoberfest

We spent 3 days glued to the Ryder Cup clocking up about 35 hours of TV viewing.  I lost count of how many norty words we said and how many fingernails we chewed off on the last day when it looked like we had a cat in hell's chance of winning - it went right down to the last game to win it rather than just retain the trophy.

So another eventful month has flown by, if you want to look at more Month in Numbers blog posts you can find them here on Pinterest

  1. Who knew it would turn into Pink Scarf month for you! Must have been meant to be.

It seems like cheating to me to sneak off to see the band before the end of the big countdown! But it sounds like a fun trip!

  3. That's a fine selection of numbers! Congratulations on winning the beautiful scarf from Julie's giveaway. I love scarves too - almost always have something wrapped round my neck lol

  4. A great selection of interesting numbers in your month Karen. It's funny that you think 12 posts means your blogging is slipping. I feel like I've done really well if I manage 3 posts in a week!

  5. Loving Mr P's choice of scarf :) We loved the Ryder cup too - I was even glued to it in an Irish bar in the middle of Edinburgh when everyone around me was dancing their socks off lol!
